After machine quilting professionally for 10 years I have made the transition to charging for my quilting services by the hour.  Many professional quilters charge for their services based upon the size and type of quilting to be performed.  I used that structure myself for many years.  I found myself in a conundrum that my personal speed at completing basic all-over quilting made it so that these clients were paying a lot more for my time than those who were paying for the time-consuming custom work.  I have found that charging by the hour is not only much more equitable, but, thanks to my knack for speedy quilting, makes many treatments much more cost-effective for all of my clients.  Most queen to king sized quilts can be quilted beautifully with a moderately dense custom all-over design within 3 hours for a final quilting cost of $105 (batting, thread, backing and binding services return shipping and/or sales tax are additional).

Tired of trying to find a place big enough to baste your quilt to hand or machine quilt it yourself?  Let me help you with this less than fun step of the quilting process...
